The water

How warm is Lake Singkarak?

The water is warmest in May, around 28 °C at the surface, and coldest in November, around 26 °C. The surface averages 20 °C or more from January to December: comfortable for most swimmers.

It does not normally freeze in winter.

On the shore, afternoons reach 27 °C on average in May and 26 °C in December. The driest month is July (217 mm of rain), the wettest November (449 mm).
