Lake Valencia is a lake in Venezuela. It covers 370 km². On average it is 32 m deep, and 75 m at its deepest point. Its surface lies 407 m above sea level.

The water

How warm is Lake Valencia?

The water is warmest in September, around 28 °C at the surface, and coldest in February, around 26 °C. The surface averages 20 °C or more from January to December: comfortable for most swimmers.

It does not normally freeze in winter.

On the shore, afternoons reach 33 °C on average in March and 29 °C in August. The driest month is March (7 mm of rain), the wettest August (130 mm).
